On the fourth Sunday night of every month, we are going to have a celebration night after the service. We had our first one this month (which is when the above picture was taken). It is truly a blessing to walk through life with them. This month we celebrated Maasen getting her Master's degree, Brooks and Raena's new jobs, and Alexandra's birthday. It was great to be able to just enjoy each other in the midst of all the serious things we are doing. Below is a picture of Paul giving Maasen the congrats sign we made for her.
We are beginning to really work as a team to transform Merriam. Different people signed up to lead and specific initiatives in the transformation efforts. Paul put together a helpful packet for each one of us concerning the history of Merriam as well as what needs to done. We also heard back from Voice of the Light ministry this month and they said they might be sending two of their workers in May to train us in spiritual warfare, along with specific applications and assistance in Merriam. We feel very blessed by this opportunity.
A defining point happened this month, as we have been receiving deeper revelation as to what our role is going to be in the local and larger body of Christ. There will be more on this later as we are obviously in the beginning stages. But we do now have a specific vision and goals, so we are feeling much more unified now. The vision is essentially the same as it has always been, yet the goals are finally in place.
