It's time to Pass-Over into a New Season

This month started out with Paul, Noah and I going to Wichita for the InSync2 conference that hosted Dutch Sheets and Chuck Pierce. This was the follow up conference to the one we went to in October. There was corpoarate prayer as well as a major prophetic act done to symbolicly give Kansas back to the Lord. They referenced how Kansas has been a state with many firsts... they were the first to have a high school system, first to allow woman to vote, first to bring equal rights to blacks in the schools, etc. They said there used to be a saying that "As goes Kansas, so goes the Nation." In light of this, they were saying that Kansas will probably be one of the first states to usher in revival. They commented many times how we should not be saying that revival is coming anymore ... but that it is here. (Little did they know revival had already broken out in Lakeland, FL - more on this later). One of the phrases that Dutch Sheets continued to use both in October and this month was, "It is time to dance the dance of Passover". The timing was strategic since this month we celebrated Passover.

Our 40 days of night watch prayer from midnight to 3am ended right before Passover. Susan did an excellent job overseeing the night watch. We have already begun to see powerful things happen as a result of our prayer in the night. So much so that we are considering options as to how to continue with a permanent night watch at some level.

This year Tom and Leah did a wonderful job preparing for and leading our Passover seder for our community. The first night you are to have the seder in your home, so we had about 17 of us in our house on Saturday night. Eric joyfully led worship for us on the keyboard. It was a wonderful evening of reflection and participation of the deliverance that the Lord brought to all - Jew and Gentile alike.

Also this month, revival broke out in Lakeland, FL. You can watch it online http://www.ignitedchurch.com/ at 6 pm central time, or if you have DirecTV satellite then it's on GodTV channel. Paul went down there for a couple of days to see and experience what God is doing. He said it was really powerful, and he had some personal things happen to him. Todd Bentley is the one leading the revival, and every night he is praying for full time leaders to take the annointing back with them to their own town. Paul fell over when Todd prayed for him, and he is not the type to just fall over. We are excited to see what happens this year.

It may not have made world headlines, but a major event happened on Wednesday, April 16th. Israel's Supreme Court has allowed Messanic Jews to become citizens, and you can also emmigate if only your father is Jewish. You can read the article from various sources: http://www.israeltoday.co.il/default.aspx?tabid=178&nid=15802 or http://blog.christianitytoday.com/ctliveblog/archives/2008/04/messianic_jews_1.html

This is huge news because in the past the revivals that have had a mighty impact have been linked with physical activity in Israel. Around 1900, many Zionists were returning to the land of Israel for the first time since having been expelled in the 1st century. The result was worldwide revival ... with Azusa Street, Topeka, and the Welsh revival being only a few. Another wave of revival came right after 1948, when Israel became a nation again. In America, this is commonly known as the "50's healing revival" with men like AA Allen, William Branham, and Oral Roberts being used mightily. In 1967, Israel won the Six Days War and recaptured Jerusalem for the first time since 70 AD. The result was another revival in what we often call the "Jesus People Movement" when millions encountered God over a period of at least 10 years of revival. Soooooo ... how much more significant that the Messianic Jews are being allowed to return to the land. Matthew 23:39 says, "For I say to you, from now on you will not see Me until you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!'" Now many Jews are about to be moving home that will be singing songs like, "Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord!" This will undoubtedly lead to a world revival, as has already been prophesied at the Lakeland revival that God will take this move of the Spirit in Florida to the ends of the earth.

We are also excited because for over a year we have been working with Ana Mendez's ministry (http://www.voiceofthelight.com/) to try to have them come and help us with spiritual warfare and the transformation of our city here in Merriam. It's now official that in the last week of May we will be hosting their lead trainer Flory Gonzalez, who travels internationally to train and lead prayer warfare assignments for them. She is from Mexico, and she is coming through El Paso where Cheryl Hernandez, their coordinator for the midwest, will join her for the trip up to KC.

Needless to say, we are very encouraged about all that is going on. Praise be to the living God. Let the glory fall on all of us in this broken world!
