God's Perfect Timing

This month we had our first all-church meeting, where each cell group comes together at our house. We enjoyed meeting the new people who have joined our community. Paul talked about living in a new government with Jesus as King. It was an impactful time of making a covenant with Him as King and not merely Savior.

We also had the privilege of participating at the Turkey Creek Festival in our city. We partnered with Hal Linhart's evangelists and shared the love of Christ with people in our city. We also had a booth for the Merriam House of Prayer, where we were able to pray for some people. Mostly we just planted seeds and let people know that there is a house prayer available in their city.

On the global day of prayer, we felt led by the Lord to pray over certain areas in our city - particularly areas of darkness. We have been studying books all winter written by people experienced with warfare as to how to pray against satan's kingdom. It's crucial to tear down the kingdom of darkness before establishing a new government under God, so we went as groups to the actual sites and prayed. It was a powerful time with the Lord and each other. We were encouraged to find out that the Lord was at work even before we prayed, as the psychic building in Merriam put up a for sale sign about a week before the global day of prayer. Also, we found out that a Korean couple bought the church that was for sale in Merriam near our building for the Merriam House of Prayer, They seem to be very strong believers as they enjoy going to IHOP in Grandview where Paul and I met, and they were also praying against the psychic building.

This month, we are so grateful to the Lord for His precious gift of our new bundle of love.

In the Lord's perfect timing, He brought Noah Caleb on Thursday, May 31. He weighed 8 lbs, 7 ounces and was 21 inches long. He was born at 7:31 pm at Shawnee Mission Hospital, the same hosptial his dad was born in, which just so happens to be in Merriam. We really believe that the timing of the birth of Noah and praying over our city has great signifiance in the Spirit. On Wednesday before Noah was born, Paul, Mark and I thanked Noah for waiting until after we prayed for the city and then said that we wanted him to come now. Almostly immediately after we prayed, I started having contractions every 5 minutes. The timing couldn't have been better because a C-section was scheduled for Friday since he was getting so big. The Lord answered the desire of my heart to have him naturally. We feel so blessed to have the privledge to raise up this mighty warrior for the Lord. Thank you for all your prayers.

We will continue to keep you updated ... with pictures too.
